Trade Up introduces juniors and seniors to trade career opportunities. Students receive hands-on experience in trades such as electrical, carpentry, laborer, ironworking, machinist, firefighter, and numerous others. This is a daylong event exposing attendees to on-the-job training programs and apprenticeships.
Our program gives students hands-on experience with the tools, machinery and personnel involved in jobs that are in demand. Until they learn about these jobs — and the wages they can earn — they have no idea how many exciting careers are available to them.
