The meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM by President Doug Scott.

 

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was conducted, and the Presidents Message was read.

President Report:

 

COPE Committee had its last round of endorsement interviews and is now moving on to work in creating a localized political agenda for the next Legislative session.  Those interested in participating email Charlotte Murry, charlotte@snolabor.org . A meeting date will be set in the next week or so.

New Business

 

COPE Endorsements:

Recommendation to the Body from the COPE Committee with a motion and a second for Jessica Wadhams, Lake Stevens City Council.  Motion Approved.


Nominations were opened for the position of Trustee #5. This is to fill the remainder of the term that was vacated by Dan Murphy as a result of being nominated & voted in as Vice President last month.

 

Polagaya McLaughlin, nominated Debbie Gath, IBT 38, for the position.

Debbie Gath was voted in via acclamation. (Approved)

 

 

 

 

Reports of Unions:

 

Leon Norton, Carpenters 30: Carpenters are on Strike with AGC currently. Issues of living where they work,” and issues around equity language are driving factors in why they have not been able to come to agreement. They are seeking strike sanctions from the SICLC.

 

Paul Galovin, Carpenters 70: Followed up on what Leon spoke of with more details about negotiations

 

Polagaya McLaughlin, RPEC 6: Made a motion to the body for Strike Sanctions approval for the

Carpenters.  Dan Murphy, WFSE 1020, Seconded it.  Motion Passed.
