Minutes of the Meeting of December 14, 2005

 

            The meeting was called to order at 6 PM by President Chapman with the flag salute suspended due to a lack of flag in the meeting room. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as typed and handed out.

 

CREDENTIALS

  • IBEW 77 for John Cunningham, Richard Harrell, Jacklyn Rae, Tim Wiese

 

No action was taken on credentials, as none of the new delegates were present at the beginning of the meeting.

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

            The President called for further nominations for officers to be turned in to the Secretary-Treasurer before the end of the evening. The following nomination was received: Ed Triezenberg, UBC 562 for Trustee #3

 

GOOD OF THE ORDER

 

            Leonard Kelley, Teamsters 38, announced that Arlington City Council will be having no public comment at a public hearing on January 3rd on the SEPA process regarding a Wal Mart siting. They are encouraging attendance at an Arlington meeting on the issue.

 

            David Simpson, Charter Review Commission Member, thanked the Council for its support and noted his election to the commission. They have a meeting on January 2nd.

 

Delegates and guests were invited to attend the Holiday Open House after the meeting’s adjournment.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 PM
