of 4/28/2021 SICLC Delegates Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 6:03 PM by President Jason Redrup
The pledge of allegiance was conducted, and the President’s Message was read.

Officer Reports:
President Report:
President Redrup announced that he was retiring and stepping down as
President effective at the end of this meeting.
He added that it is not for health reasons but that it was time for him
to move on after 17 years as a delegate.
Secretary-Treasurer Report:
Secretary-Treasurer Kelley reported on Trade Up scheduled for May 19th at Marysville High School was going to be postponed until September due to Covid. Kelley also reported that the UFCW 21 was going to be holding pickets with the nurses and that the information for turning out and support of them would be emailed out. He shared also that the AFL-CIO is putting on phone banks calling senators who have not signed on to the PRO Act and encouraged delegates to volunteer. He added that Delegates would be receiving additional emails as part of a three-day course of action supporting the PRO Act.
New Business
Secretary Treasurer Kelley
reported on the COPE screening committee and the process before proceeding with
the recommendations.

Reports of Unions:
Teresa Johnson, IBEW 89: Reported they go their first 2 negotiation dates set with Ziply Fiber
Laurel Blaine, IATSE 15: Reported Rhino lost their contract with Live Nation and the new company is union friendly. She added that she had bad news about Tom McConnell, a delegate for many years had passed away at the beginning of April.
Anthony Cantu, UFCW 21: Reported on negotiations with Providence are not going well, so they were taking it to the streets and hope that the delegates can support.
Susanne Woodard, UFCW 21: Reported she was trying to incorporate labor education in Island County, she added she has been helping with the vaccine clinic in Coopeville.
Debbie Gath, IBT 38: Reported that they were working to get hazard pay for grocery workers throughout all the cities in the county.
Steve Chandler, IBT 38: Thanked Jason for all his years of service, and added they were in negotiations with Coca Cola and Crown Distributing, which they had just rejected for the membership on the latest proposal. Also, negotiating Everett Steel and Lynnwood Republic Garbage Services.
Paul Galovin, UBC 70: Reported they have purged their apprenticeship list and need more.
